Product Details of the Bulldozer Transfer Case Assembly
Function and Role
The transfer case assembly plays a crucial role in power distribution for bulldozers. For bulldozers with a power higher than 160kw, due to the limitations of the hydraulic pump structure and the vehicle body structure, a series connection between the engine and the pump is not feasible. In this case, a transfer case needs to be added behind the engine. It divides the power of the engine into two or more paths and transmits it to different hydraulic pumps, thereby driving various working devices of the bulldozer, such as the traveling mechanism and the blade lifting mechanism, enabling the bulldozer to complete various operation tasks.
Structural Composition
- Case: It usually adopts an integral structure. One end is open and installed on the engine flywheel housing, while the other end is closed and has an installation port for the driven gear end cover. Components such as the input shaft end cover and bearings are installed inside the case, providing support and protection for other parts of the transfer case. At the same time, it plays a role in sealing the lubricating oil to prevent leakage.
- Input Shaft: It is rotatably installed on the input shaft end cover through cylindrical roller bearings. One end is connected to the engine flywheel through a rubber coupling, and the other end is fixedly connected to the driving gear, which is used to input the power of the engine into the transfer case.
- Driving Gear and Driven Gear: The driving gear is connected to the input shaft, and the driven gear meshes with the driving gear. When the driving gear rotates, it drives the driven gear to rotate, thus realizing the power division. These gears are generally straight spur gears with specific module and number of teeth to meet the requirements of the gear ratio and power transmission.
- Other Components: It also includes a rubber coupling, which is used to connect the engine flywheel and the transfer case input shaft. It can effectively buffer the torque changes of the engine and the generated torsional vibrations. The working hydraulic pump and the traveling hydraulic pump are respectively installed on the outer wall of the closed end of the case and the driven gear end cover, and are connected to the corresponding gears through splines. They convert the power output from the transfer case into hydraulic energy, providing power for the working devices of the bulldozer.
Working Principle
When the engine is running, it drives the rubber coupling through the flywheel, and then drives the input shaft of the transfer case to rotate. The input shaft drives the driving gear to rotate, and the driving gear meshes with the driven gear, causing the driven gear to start rotating, thus transmitting the power from the input shaft to each driven gear. The hydraulic pumps connected to the driven gears start to work under the drive of the gears, converting mechanical energy into hydraulic energy. The power is transmitted to various working components of the bulldozer through the hydraulic system, enabling the bulldozer to perform actions such as traveling and blade lifting.
Product Features
- Precise Power Distribution: It can accurately distribute power according to the needs of different working devices of the bulldozer, ensuring that each device can work in coordination and improving work efficiency.
- High Reliability: High-strength materials and advanced manufacturing processes are adopted to ensure that the transfer case can operate stably for a long time in harsh working environments, reducing the probability of failures and lowering maintenance costs.
- Good Lubrication and Heat Dissipation: Some transfer cases adopt the oil immersion lubrication method and are equipped with an oil sump and a scraper plate to provide sufficient lubricating oil for the bearings and take away heat. At the same time, a heat dissipation plate is set on the surface of the case to increase the overall heat dissipation area, which helps to extend the service life of all components of the transfer case.
Common Models and Applicable Machine Types
The transfer case assemblies used in bulldozers of different brands and models are of different models. For example, the transfer case assembly model for the Shantui SD22 bulldozer is 23Y - 02B - 00000, and the SD32 bulldozer has transfer case models such as 175 - 38 - C1000. These transfer cases are specially designed and matched according to the power, working requirements and other factors of different bulldozers to ensure that they can perform the best performance on the corresponding machine types.
